Back Pain? How To Treat the Underlying Problem. Not The Symptom!

Many people are too content to see a Chiro, Physio, Massage Therapist or a mixture of all to help ‘cure’ their back pain. The problem is, the back pain isn’t the cause, its the symptom. And if you only treat the symptom, the cause is still there and the symptom of pain will return.

Now don’t get me wrong, your practitioner makes you feel better don’t they. Less pain, more mobility, more energy. Whats wrong with that? And the answer is nothing! But ask yourself this, Am I in a better place than I was 3 months ago? Or are you just going in circles.

If this is the cycle your trapped in, then you are only treating the symptom and not the problem. So how do you treat the Problem? This is the difference between an ‘Ok Practitioner’ and a ‘Great Practitioner’.

The ‘Great Practitioners’ will manage your pain whilst addressing the underlying problem. Is it your posture? Your flexibility? Do you have an actual underlying injury? Or does your lifting technique need to be addressed? Then they will set you on the path to long term recovery and management. A home program perhaps, real strengthening exercises in the gym to address your weaknesses, maybe changing your work station or how you think about your posture.

But most importantly, You will have a plan. A way to improve your back pain and return to a healthy life.

So if you need help getting out of this Cycle. Make an appointment and a plan today.
